Renee Paulraj

2019-2020 Scholar

Renee Paulraj is a current freshman at the University of Maryland pursuing dual degrees in Government & Politics and Information Science with a minor in Humanities, Health, and Medicine. She is a part of the Design, Cultures, and Creativity honors program through which she hopes to design a capstone project to combat the digital divide, which was inspired by encountering the digital divide in various neighborhoods while volunteering on presidential, gubernatorial, and state legislature campaigns. Currently, she is a member of the UMD Mock Trial team, Girl Up, Phi Alpha Delta, and serves on the Honor Council for the University Student Judiciary. Looking forward, Renee hopes to volunteer with Amnesty International and other nonprofit organizations before attending law school where she hopes to specialize in international human rights law or health law.
