Maizie Rubin

2022-2024 Scholar

Maizie Rubin is a human development major with a minor in sociology. She also just applied to the disabilities studies minor. Her Granny's career was centered around caring for children. When her Granny passed away, she was most remembered for the impact she left on children's lives. Maize is inspired by her Granny with her major and minor choices at the University of Maryland. Maizie recently had an internship designing a free preschool program for students living in Prince George's county. The goal of this program is to backtrack some of the disparities felt when students, who grew up like her in an area like her’s, enter the school system.
