Kostantinos Nakas

My name is Konstantinos Nakas and I am Junior International Business and Marketing double major at the University of Maryland, College Park. My majors frame my academic pursuit of merging my passion for sports business, with my knowledge of international cultures and globalization, as well as, understanding the power that sports have in breaking down national barriers. Regarding leadership, I was the Head of Survey Respondent Relations at the Center for the Study of Local Issues, where I was able to effectively communicate complex topics to a diverse audience of both the employees I was overseeing, as well as, my superiors when presenting our research findings. I also am the Apparel Chair for Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity where I merge my passion for graphic design with my pride in being a Phi Sig here at UMD.

Lastly, I am involved in multiple clubs on campus including as Philanthropy Chair of the Greek Heritage Society and I am also a member of the Men’s Club Soccer team. I am very thankful to have received the Phi Sigma Kappa Scholarship for the Spring 2020 semester, and look forward to using the money to further my academic career at UMD.
