Portrait of Jayleen Reyes

Jayleen Reyes

2024-2025 Scholar

Jayleen’s Maryland experience has been enriching and transformative, both academically and personally. Jayleen has actively sought opportunities to support her growth by involving myself in various extracurricular activities and organizations. As a general member of CSA, BSU, and NAACP, she’s engaged in meaningful discussions and initiatives that foster community and leadership. Additionally, Jayleen has had the privilege of serving as a domestic violence liaison through the CARE organization, working to provide resources and support for those in need.

Most recently, Jayleen broadened her academic horizons by studying abroad in Jordan through the CET program, where she deepened my understanding of Arabic language and culture. These experiences have been pivotal in shaping her academic journey and professional aspirations. Jayleen is incredibly grateful for the welcoming and supportive environment at UMD and proud to call herself a Terp.
