Dr. Warren Kelley
Dr. Warren Kelley is the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Maryland, College Park. He has administrative oversight of the University Health Center, Counseling Center, Accessibility & Disability Services, and University Recreation & Wellness. He has overseen a 68 percent increase in mental health clinicians in the Counseling Center, and a five-fold increase in staffing for Accessibility & Disability Services in recent years.
Warren is known as a consensus builder and problem solver who has made giving back to the University of Maryland and to higher education his mission for over 40 years. His leadership guided significant changes, including the transfer of Sports Medicine from the Athletics Department to the Health Center, the conversion to third-party billing in the Health Center, the privatization of the University Book Center, and the integration of career programming into the academic colleges. He has co-chaired University-wide initiatives, including The Mental Health Task Force and The Joint President/Senate Inclusion & Respect Task Force.
Warren has been the recipient of the University of Maryland’s President's Medal and the President’s Distinguished Service Award, as well as the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education’s Outstanding Service to NASPA award in Region II. Warren is an affiliate assistant professor in the College of Education. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture, a Master’s degree in General Administration, and both a Master’s degree and a Ph.D.in Counseling Psychology.
