Caroline Johnson
Caroline Johnson
Caroline Johnson has had an incredible time at Maryland in her nearly two and a half years so far. She is in awe at the spirit exemplified by the students and faculty here and the University’s dedication to excellence. Her first home football game against West Virginia two seasons ago, specifically the second-quarter flag drop, was an unforgettable, cathartic experience. That was the moment she knew this school was her home. As a runner, Caroline has made the beautiful campus as well as Lake Artemesia part of her daily routes, and she feels such a sense of pride as she runs through the grounds.
There are endless possibilities of things to do for all types of people, and she has made many different friends from different avenues this way. Caroline feels as though this school is her oyster, and she must seize every opportunity available. Being so far out of state, she knew she had to get involved to maximize her experience and she is involved in many unique areas of the wonderful campus! She is the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and serves as a board member of the University Student Judiciary Committee. Caroline is a student ambassador for the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and a sustainability advisor for the campus Office of Sustainability. Finally, she is a member of the Epsilon Eta Professional and Service Environmental fraternity. Academically, she has made the Dean's list all four semesters thus far and was inducted into the Order of Omega Greek honor society last spring. The best part yet: she’s not yet finished trying new experiences! Among many things, Caroline would like to try being a Teaching Assistant, be inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, and be accepted to the Maryland Federal Fellows program. There is still so much more to come and she couldn't be happier about it. Go Terps!
