Ashley Henriquez

2019 scholar

Ashley is of Salvadoran descent and a Washington D.C. native. Right after receiving her high school diploma, she worked as an administrative assistant and worked closely with the CFO at a small minority owned engineering firm for six years. Originally, interested in accounting, the exposure to engineering at this firm was when she decided she wanted to become an engineer. She has since then gained her associates in engineering from Prince George's Community College and transferred into the University of Maryland. Her interest has expanded into nanotechnology and in which she has had the opportunity to work with through the Center for Integrated Quantum Materials.
