Aaron Anderson

2017 Scholar

Aaron Anderson is a 7 year veteran of the Army and was deployed to Iraq for the better part of a year. It was after that deployment that he decided he wanted to use his language skills to help solve problems before military action is required. He graduated from Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics and a certificate in the Persian Flagship program. He also has earned a graduate certificate in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language). He is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Public Policy and serving as the Acting Coordinator for Veteran Student Life! He hopes to combine his passions for language and public policy with the ultimate goal of becoming a Foreign Service officer
