About Department of Resident Life Student Employees
The Department of Resident Life (DRL) employs students in various roles that include Community Assistants, Staff Assistants, Office Assistants, Program Assistants, and Customer Service Supervisors. These positions are essential to support the vision and goals of DRL through daily interaction with students, parents, and the campus community. The students are supervised by professional staff who are dedicated to enhancing the students’ work experience and ensuring they gain transferable skills for future employment. DRL student employees gain practical and professional experience while working toward a degree. These positions allow students to develop their repertoire of talents in customer service, communication, time management, organization, emergency response, and working as part of a team.
About the Fund
The Department of Resident Life Student Employee Scholarship was created in 2015 to provide need-based aid to hardworking students who are employed by the DRL while pursuing their undergraduate education. This scholarship will recognize student employees who exhibit dedication to their education and to the DRL mission through their daily roles. Gifts in support of this fund will support the current-use scholarship fund until the minimum threshold required to convert the fund to an endowment is reached.
