About Bruce L. and Donna W. Berlage

Bruce and Donna BerlageBruce and Donna Berlage are longtime friends and supporters of the University of Maryland. Bruce is a 1956 graduate with a degree in Agriculture. While a student at Maryland he held a number of leadership roles in various campus organizations including the WMUC Radio Board, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and the Student Government Association, where he served as Vice President and laid the foundation for the legislative system used to this day. Bruce was also inducted into the Sigma Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa.

Bruce and Donna (West Liberty University, ’65) have generously supported many programs at the University of Maryland including Alternative Breaks, SGA, and have established an endowed scholarship for participants in 4-H. Through a planned gift, Bruce and Donna created the Bruce L. and Donna W. Berlage Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Fund, which will be used to attract high quality lecture speakers for the benefit of the entire campus community.

About The Fund

ODK Sigma Circle LogoThe Bruce L. and Donna W. Berlage Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) Lecture Fund was established to support an annual ODK              Lecture at the University of Maryland. The ODK Speaker Series brings high caliber national and world leaders to the University for    the benefit of the entire campus community. Through your support of the Berlage Lecture Fund, we are able to bring speakers to      campus who have achieved distinction in their field of expertise, or who have rendered unusually significant service through their      leadership in significant causes.

Omicron Delta Kappa – Sigma Circle is the University of Maryland’s chapter of the national leadership honor society for college        students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni that recognizes and encourages scholarship, leadership, and exemplary                character.
