College Park, Md. - University of Maryland Career Center interim director Allynn Powell is the 2022 recipient of the Mackes Leadership Award from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). The Mackes Leadership Award honors the individual achievement of a NACE member who has shown exemplary leadership skills and initiative while promoting an environment of respect, ethical standards, diversity, equity, inclusivity, and innovation. Allynn was recognized, in part, for her influential voice on the University Career Center’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, her service as Co-Chair of the Hire Big10+ Consortium, and her participation in NACE's Management Leadership Institute. 

About the Mackes Leadership Award
The Mackes Leadership award honors and celebrates the impact of former NACE executive director, Marilyn Mackes. This award recognizes the individual achievement of a NACE member who, by their contributions, supports NACE in delivering its mission to connect, empower, and educate the career services and university relations and recruiting professions. Recipients must demonstrate leadership skills, including the cultivation of a collaborative, creative, and inspirational workplace, a commitment to inclusive and innovative outcomes, role modeling, and mentoring.
