As a part of its Free Spring Movie Series, Student Entertainment Events is screening THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES on Wed., May 6 and Thurs., May 7. This screening is open to the public, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Plot summary: "As the finale to Peter Jackson's epic Tolkien odyssey comes to a close, this last movie in the Hobbit trilogy follows Bilbo and the dwarves one last time, as the armies of the necromancer come towards the Lonely Mountain."

Hypnotic Intoxication is a "journey into the mind." Through the use of hypnosis, volunteers from the audience will believe they are drinking the most potent alcohol, but they will really be drinking bottled water!

Come support your favorite student musicians as they duke it out for a chance to perform at Art Attack XXXII in XFINITY Center! On Tue., March 24, the six selected Battle of the Bands semi-finalists will perform for a panel of SEE/WMUC judges and a special guest judge from a local venue, who will then name three finalists. Two nights later, on Thurs., March 26, the finalists will perform again, and a winner will be selected to open at this year's Art Attack! Your appearance really counts: In the event of a tie on either night, audience members will VOTE as a tie-breaker.
The Film Studies Department will host a silent film screening of Harold Lloyd's The Freshman, featuring live music from the Peacherine Palm Court Orchestra.
This five-person band will be playing the original 1925 cue sheet score as compiled by James C. Bradford.
The Peacherine Palm Court Orchestra is a subset from the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, "the premier American Ragtime ensemble" as hailed by the Washington Post.
This event is free to the public, with no RSVP required. The screening is organized by Film Studies and is generously supported by the Hoff Funding Board and the Pepsi Enhancement Fund.
