The show aims at highlighting different types of beauty in the Black community during Black History Month. The money garnered from this event will go towards creating a scholarship for Central High School, a predominantly black high school in Prince George’s County.

Film Screening + Discussion: Hidden Figures

A panel of Black Women Professors and students will set the stage for the screening of Hidden Figures. The panel will not only highlight Black women's achievements in STEM fields but also talk about the persistent challenges facing Black scholars in STEM academia.

Jared Eamons, the son of a small-town Baptist pastor, must overcome the fallout after being outed as gay to his parents. His father and mother struggle to reconcile their love for their son with their beliefs. Fearing a loss of family, friends and community, Jared is pressured into attending a conversion therapy program.
