Lavender Graduation recognizes an important milestone in the lives of our LGBTQIA+ graduates. Each year, this event also provides an opportunity for our community to come together and honor those among us who have worked to make College Park a better place for LGBTQ+ people. Whether you have been involved in the LGBTQIA+ community at UMD or not, we encourage all to attend to support the celebration of the excellence and resilience of all graduates and award winners. Each LGBTQIA+ graduate will receive a rainbow tassel, rainbow stole, and a certificate of achievement. Both undergraduates and graduates are encouraged to attend and bring family, friends, and other significant individuals in their lives from both on and off campus. Of course, all faculty and staff are invited. Those who are graduating in December 2018, May 2019, or December 2019 are welcome to walk in the ceremony. RSVP to attend at go.umd.edu/lavgrad19
