Friday, April 6, 2018 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Students Ending Slavery, Oxfam UMD, and UMD Athletics are teaming up to host an exciting fun run fundraiser: the 5k for Freedom. Formerly called Glow for the Girls, our 5k raises awareness about human trafficking that occurs all over the world -- including Prince George's County -- and shines a light on the vulnerabilities that refugee populations face. Registration fee ($15) includes food, music, t-shirts*, guest speakers, and of course participation in the fun run. All profits will be split between Students Ending Slavery, Oxfam UMD, and UMD Athletics to support human trafficking survivors and refugees assimilating into the US. SES proceeds will go to the UMD SAFE Center. Oxfam proceeds will go to Oxfam's Global Refugee Crisis Fund. To register, visit: https://www.givebutter.com/5kforFreedom
