Purple Light Nights are events that honor victims and survivors of relationship violence during Relationship Violence Awareness Month. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join CARE to Stop Violence at this series of casual tabling events to learn about healthy relationship behaviors, relationship violence and its impact on students, how you can help someone impacted, and what resources exist on- and off-campus that can help.

The Clothesline Project

The Clothesline Project is a visual representation of the impacts of sexual and relationship violence on the campus community. This event provides community members with an opportunity to confront the issue of power-based violence and create and display their own messages to the community during Relationship Violence Awareness Month. CARE to Stop Violence will be joined by the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta, whose national philanthropy mission is to combat relationship violence.

Turbans for Terps

Turbans for Terps is an annual event held by UMD's Sikh Student Association in order to spread awareness about the Sikh religion and educate UMD's students and staff about the Sikh Turban. Come out to get your turban tied and learn about the significance behind it!

Terps Take Care Fair

The Department of Resident Life is proud to announce the second annual Terps Take Care interactive mental health fair. Student organizations, campus departments, and local businesses assemble with information, activities, and free giveaways.
