Freedmen's Bureau Papers Transcribe-a-thon

Join the Michelle Smith Collaboratory and the African American History, Culture and Digital Humanities (AADHum) Initiative in the College of Arts and Humanities (ARHU), in conjunction with the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), for a day of transcribing and dialogue about the Freedmen's Bureau papers and their important role in helping illuminate the road from slavery to freedom in the African American experience.
Participate online or in-person as we work to transcribe documents from the NMAAHC Freedmen's Bureau Papers. Wi-fi access will be available to non-UMD participants.
