Student Affairs Leadership Fellows
The Division of Student Affairs is pleased to offer the second class of the Student Affairs Leadership Fellows for 2015-2016. This is a year-long professional development program for Student Affairs Assistant and Associate Directors or comparable level positions. The goals of the program are to support staff in the development of leadership skills and to prepare them for their career progressions.
Interested applicants will apply and be selected for a class of 15-20 Fellows. The program will be directed by Vice President Linda Clement and include monthly two hour sessions from 12:00-2:00 pm on Fridays. Each session will focus on a professional development topic and include a panel of experts from inside and outside the Division. Skill development will include sessions on: understanding how the university works and how to promote organizational change, learning about individual leadership strengths and challenges, shaping environments that support diversity and inclusive excellence, and developing key management skills.
All Assistant and Associate Director (or comparable level) in Student Affairs are eligible to apply. Please submit a letter of interest, resume, and a short email of approval to participate from your supervisor or director to Brooke Supple, email@example.com by Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
The program will begin with a half-day retreat on Thursday, September 3, 2015 9:00am – 1:00pm. Monthly sessions will be held on the following Fridays:
• September 25th
• October 23rd
• November 20th
• January 22nd
• February 26th
• March 25th
• April 22nd
• May 6th
