To honor and remember the service of our military veterans, The University of Maryland hosted our annual Veterans Day Service in the University Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 9.
Featuring remarks from University President Wallace Loh and UMD veterans Sara Feret ’18 and Michael Moore ’68, the service recognized the service of our Terp Vets and reflected on their experience in the military and in our community.
In a statement to the UMD community before the annual Veterans Day Service, President Loh said, “I am proud of all the members of our community who are devoted to serving our veterans, as I am proud of all of our veterans for their service. Today, we remember and we honor. Each day, it is our duty to serve our veterans, as they have answered the call of duty to serve us.”
Maryland Today, the daily news publication from the University of Maryland, also paid tribute to our Terp Vets by featuring three unique stories from our students about their time at UMD.
