April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and we want to be sure you're aware of the resources and upcoming events available to you here at UMD. Emily Watkins shares information on how CARE to Stop Violence supports and advocates for victims of sexual assault, harassment, and relationship violence, as well as ways you can get involved with CARE. Also in this edition of Keep Connected, find out more about the Clothesline Project, how you can plan to Invest in your Financial Success, events happening at the Memorial Chapel for Passover and Holy Week.
We all need to be part of the solution to end relationship violence and sexual assault. Educating yourself and others, being an engaged bystander and speaking up and out when needed, and helping friends who’ve been abused are things you can do to help. Talking about these issues openly will help end the shame and stigma.
