Call for Applications: RecWell Kehoe-Kesler Award

The James H. Kehoe (Men’s Intramural Sports Director, 1947-69) and Ethel Kesler (Women’s Intramural Sports Director, 1956-81) Leadership & Service Award is the most prestigious honor given by the Department of University Recreation & Wellness (RecWell).

The Kehoe-Kesler Award is presented to the University of Maryland undergraduate or graduate student who has best demonstrated leadership, and a commitment to inspiring members of the university community to be active and live well. Nominees should immediately come to mind as those who are dedicated to bettering the health and wellness of those around them.  

We welcome nominations from students, faculty/staff, and RecWell participants. Additionally, self-nominations are not only welcome, but encouraged. 

RecWell Kehoe-Kesler Award Criteria
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park
  • Must have a 2.75 minimum cumulative GPA
  • The recipient of this award does not have to be a current RecWell participant 
  • Nomination Application | Final (Nominee) Application
  • Final Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 4th @ 5:00pm
