Hey, Terps!

You did it! You finished the spring 2022 semester — still in the middle of a global pandemic. And, you did it! So on behalf of all of us in the Division of Student Affairs, I want you to know that we are proud of you! Very, very proud of you — of your resilience, and your commitment, and your dedication, and to staying the course; to keeping yourselves and others well. For being TerrapinSTRONG.

Hey, Terps!

For those of you who are graduating, please know that the University of Maryland is always your home. Come back often, and we will welcome you with open arms. We wish you great success in the next season of your life.

And for those returning in the fall semester, we cannot wait for your return! We miss you when you're not here. The campus isn't the same without you.

Have a wonderful summer! Learn a lot, but relax and have fun, too.

We are proud of you, Terps! WAY TO GO!

HEALTH & WELL-BEING

The University Health Center congratulates all of our graduates! We wish you continued success! Go Terps!

CARE Summer Operations: CARE will continue to be open throughout the summer Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and advocates will be able to see clients by appointment virtually or in-person. CARE will be closed for all summer holidays observed by the University. Email uhc-care@umd.edu to schedule an appointment. Please note from Friday, May 20 - Monday, August 29, the CARE crisis line (301-741-3442) will be transferred to advocates at UM Capital Region Health DV/SA Center (Hospital) after hours and holidays. The CARE office wishes you a wonderful summer break!

FREE EC @ UMD is an effort by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the University Health Center (UHC) to provide free emergency contraception (EC) and $2 pregnancy tests to UMD students over the next 2 years. EC is a single pill that, when taken within 5 days of unprotected or underprotected vaginal intercourse, reduces the chance of pregnancy. The sooner you take it, the more effective it is. Students of any age and any gender can access free EC at the UHC Pharmacy with their UID for themselves, a friend, a partner, a roommate, etc. Some students find it convenient to get EC before an “emergency” so that they or someone else they know has it more quickly in a time of need. You can come to the UHC Pharmacy during business hours to get EC and keep it for potential after-hours or weekend needs. More info: go.umd.edu/free-ec.

Free COVID self-test kits are available at the University Health Center (UHC) Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while supplies last! Come to the front entrance of the UHC and show your University ID card. No appointment needed!

Are you staying in College Park this summer, but not taking classes? Then purchase your summer non-registered student membership today to maintain all RecWell access and privileges.

Make your summer one of fun and fitness with RecWell Summer Group Fitness Schedule. Classes are offered both in person and virtually. Reservations for in-person classes can be made online.
