- Accessing Data to Distribute Surveys
- The Office of the University Registrar and IRPA are trying to re-align the Student Data Power User data warehouse user role to it's original data analysis purpose rather than using that access to launch large-scale student surveys.
- Student Data Power Users can pull their own samples; however, for large samples or population-level surveys, they must consult with the DSA Data & Assessment team. This ensures the request is properly routed through IRPA and the Data Privacy Officer.
- Large samples may require sharing survey information with Office of the University Registrar via an Ad Hoc Data Request.
- If not a Student Data Power User, several support options exists.
- Log your survey into the DSA Survey Log and indicate you need help in the "Do You Need Support Pulling Distribution Lists?"
- Submit a data request to DSA Data Services & Analytics using the Single-use / ad-hoc data request form
- Request contact informain via Registrar’s Data Requests & Report Library Page for student information.
- Contact UHR Data Services for employee contact information.

Why It Matters
Better Decisions
We support data-driven insights—whether reporting, marketing, or internal metrics—so staff can make more confident, evidence-based choices.
Purpose-First
Our approach starts with people: their goals, challenges, and opportunities. We design strategies that enable success, not obstacles, while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security.
Efficiency & Integration
Streamlined systems reduce manual work and errors. Every project we take on is guided by process improvement and best practices to maximize impact.
Accountability & Growth
By providing technical support for assessment, we empower research and assessment staff to focus on their strengths—measuring outcomes and driving continuous improvement—rather than learning to code.
Partnership-Focused
We work hand-in-hand with Student Affairs IT and campus units to align technology, processes, and needs—building sustainable solutions that serve the whole campus community.
